Foundation
Shingles
It's never too early to order shingles and have them available as soon as the house is framed.
Exterior Doors and Windows
Choose the exterior window colors as soon as the plans are done. This is important so we can order and receive the windows on schedule.
Custom exterior doors require more time to fabricate and deliver, and it is important for the framing carpenter to know the exterior door rough opening sizes.
Exterior Paint Color
Fireplaces
During the initial framing phase, it is very important for the framing carpenter to know about any size requirements for fireplaces.
Plumbing Fixtures and Whirlpools
It is important that all shower and fixture valves are available during rough framing.
It is critical that the framing carpenter knows the dimensions of any whirlpool tubs.
Rough Carpentry
Brick and Stone
It is better to find a sample house with brick and stone you like, than to select from a display board.
Interior Doors
After rough carpentry is finished, the trim and interior doors are ordered.
Kitchen and Bathroom Cabinetry
Measurements can begin as soon as the house is framed.
Tile (Floor, Backsplashes, Fireplaces)
Be sure to allow extra time for special order items.
Lighting Fixtures
Allow time for unique or special order items.
Granite & Quartz Countertops
Measurements for granite and quartz countertops will begin as soon as the cabinets are installed.
Use granite and quartz countertops.
Hardwood Flooring and Carpeting
